2016 Hyundai Santa Fe Prime (Facelift) Launched In Korea
The Hyundai Santa Fe is now 3 years old, and that means that it is time for it to get a mid-cycle refresh.
The Koreans have released an official batch of the 2016 Santa Fe Prime images to give us some insight into what to expect, and from what we can tell, the new look is great!
While the images released are of the Santa Fe for the Korean market, it is expected that the changes being made will be the same for the US model.

At first glance, you might not see any real changes from the existing model, but a closer inspection will reveal that there is actually a lot going on in the new design.
Up front is where most of the changes occur, as it appears that the entire front fascia has been tweaked in one way or another.
The signature grille is now a little wider than before, and comes complete with very elegant chrome bars.
The foglights have been revised too, and there are now square fog lights and an LED line set into the updated front bumper.
It’s a very clean look that adds a bit of a sporty touch to the face of the new Hyundai Santa Fe Prime.
The styling changes are not quite as widespread around back, although the rear bumper had been slightly redesigned, and the LED taillights have been touched up a little.
Adding further to the sporty styling of the vehicle is the addition of redesigned chrome alloy wheels.
Revised diesel engines, improved safety
The upcoming 2016 Santa Fe crossover vehicle will have a smoother, more comfortable ride, as the 2.0L and 2.2L CRDI diesel engines have been updated and improved.
Hyundai also states they have improved the structure of the Santa Fe Prime using high strength steel, which results in a significantly improved safety.
If you rememeber, the current Santa Fe model has only received a mariginal safety rating at the most recent IIHS crash tests (in the USA).
The facelifted model, however, is expected to receive a “good” safety rating from the same institution next year.
In addition to the upgraded body structure, the refreshed Santa Fe CUV will come with a whole host of safety features, with the likes of advanced smart cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection and many others.
Other cool features that have been added to the refreshed Santa Fe Prime are the advanced parking support system, 360 degree around view mirror, JBL audio system and 100 megapixle rear camera.
We will also get to see 3 new exterior colors added to the range.
