2017 Hyundai 7-Seat SUV Models On Sale In United States, Canada

One of the most common questions that we hear is in regards to whether or not Hyundai currently has a 7-seater SUV on the market.

We will answer that by taking a look at what’s available now, as well as looking at what Hyundai had in terms of 7-seater options in the past.

At this current time, Hyundai only has a single 7-seater SUV option in the United States, which is the Santa Fe SUV.

That model actually comes in a shorter wheelbase 5-seater variant, as well as the aforementioned 7-seater mode. In the US market the larger model is known as the Santa Fe, while in Canada, it is called the Santa Fe XL.

2017 Hyundai 7-seater SUV

The US model is now three years old, which meant that it was ready for a slight refresh for the 2017 model year. There were some changes made to the exterior design of the vehicles, as well as some upgrades on the inside.

Entourage 7-seater minivan

The first of the two was a Hyundai 7-seater minivan called the Entourage. It rode on the same platform as the Kia Sedona minivan, but had a very different look and style.

Hyundai had this model in their line-up for a couple of years, but sluggish sales led to it being discontinued.

This came at a time when the entire minivan segment was sinking, and while the 7-seater is becoming popular again, it is now in the form of the midsize crossover.

Veracruz 7-seater midsize SUV

The Hyundai Veracruz 7-seater SUV was a model that was only around for a single generation. It helped Hyundai break into the SUV market, and essentially served as the forerunner to the Santa Fe. It lasted for a couple of years before being replaced.
