Genesis HTRAC AWD System Delivers Superb Handling
The new 2015 Hyundai Genesis was officially unveiled at the 2014 North American International Auto Show recently, sporting a cool new design and a better driving experience.
The new Genesis luxury car now gets to show off its stuff on this video commercial.
If you want to show what a car can deliver, you need to put it into action at the famed Nurburgring test track.
That is where the Genesis spent a large part of its time as it was put through its paces.
The Genesis is pushed to the limits of its performance in the video, but easily holds its own thanks to a redesigned chassis that is stiffer and built to hold a new HTRAC all-wheel drive system.
While there are three driver modes available in the Genesis, the video shows it in Sport mode that enables smoother cornering.
In the video, you will also hear how Hyundai and Lotus partnered to create the new Genesis chassis that essentially plays a whole new tune.
The engine range may be carried over, but there are some definite changes to be found.
The 5.0-liter V-8 produces 420 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque, down 9 hp, but up 7 lb-ft of torque, while the 3.8-liter Lambda V-6 is now rated at 311 hp and 293 lb-ft, compared to last year’s 333 hp and 291 lb-ft.
