Yellowcake Night Racer Veloster Turbo To Debut At Hyundai’s SEMA Booth
Hyundai Motor America announced it will put on display a Yellowcake Veloster Turbo at the upcoming 2013 SEMA.
To be produced by the EGR Group, a leading aftermarket car parts and accessory supplier, the “Yellowcake” hot hatchback will be based on the regular Veloster Turbo.
Designed and developed specifically for time attack races at night racing circuits, the Veloster Night Racer is guaranteed to turn car fans and enthusiasts’ heads.
The 3-door hot hatchback will be displayed at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas, which kicks off on November 5.
Veloster’s SEMA Upgrades, Styling
Hyundai’s Night Racer hosts a plethora of cosmetic and styling upgrades, including EGR widebody kit, hood deflector, window visors, rear spoiler, bumper guard, Wurton LED light bar, APR front splitter and ONEighty custom headlights.
Themost notable features fitted to the upcoming custom Veloster Turbo are the stylish DPE 3-Piece lightweight racing wheels and a custom-developed exterior paint, called Yellowcake.
The Yellow cake exterior coating was created by EGR in collaboration with the paint experts at PPG and Barry’s Speed Shop.
Hyundai’s EGR Night Racer Engine Specs, Mods
Under the hood, the Veloster Turbo Night Racer features a 250-horsepower 1,6L turbocharged engine.
The car sits on Toyo semi-slick racing tires that ensure the engine power is kept under precise control when transformed to the road.
According to Hyundai, EGR engineers have also provided some extra body rigidity with the addition of a custom roll cage, ARK coil-over suspension and AEM strut brace.
Additionally, the sporty hatchback also incorporates a set of oversized Brembo brakes.
