Special Edition Hyundai Veloster Coupes Launched In 2015
List of Hyundai Veloster special edition models that will be launched during the 2015!
1. 2016 Hyundai Veloster Rally Edition
The Hyundai Veloster sport coupe is a great looking compact coupe in its own right, but the Rally Edition unveiled at the 2015 Chicago motor show last week takes it to a whole new level.
The 2016 Veloster Rally special edition is the first special edition to be created from the Turbo Veloster model, and there are a lot of additions to love.
The special edition model has a sporty streak that is sure to be appealing to those looking for a performance based version of the Veloster.
The suspension of the Rally Edition has been tuned for performance.
The vehicle also comes with lightweight wheels, wider tires, unique badging, custom floor mats, and aerodynamic accents that are made to look like carbon fiber. The hood has also undergone a redesign, as has the grille.
What really makes this car special, though, is the addition of an all-new 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, which has been mated to the 1.6-liter turbo 4-cylinder that is also found in the Veloster Turbo.
The power output – 201 hp and 195 lb.-ft. of torques – remains the same, but the 7-speed is all about performance, while the 6-speed is more geared towards fuel efficiency.
The Torque Vectoring Control found in the Veloster Turbo means better handling.
Brake force is applied to the front wheel using new sensors and algorithms, which means a better level of precision when cornering.
The Rally Edition is truly exclusive, with just 1.200 models scheduled to be made.
They will be available in May, and will come in a unique Matte Blue exterior paint job.
Editor’s note: The 2016 Veloster Rally Edition is all about exclusivity and well worth to buy if you’re interested in a super-hot compact hatchback.
More Veloster special edition models on the horizon?
At this point, this is the only Veloster special edition model that has been scheduled to go on sale in 2015.
However, things are changing fast and we may see other additions to the Veloster range in the coming months.
Stay tuned as we will keep this news article updated!
