2013 Veloster Turbo Suspension, Tires, Dimensions
The all-new 2013 Hyundai Veloster is without doubt a hit thanks to its aggressive appearance, but drivers also love the suspension setup.
Adding to all of that is the quicker ratio steering rack and revised steering calibration that help give drivers more control when cornering.
Each and every Hyundai Veloster comes fitted with a McPherson strut front suspension, coil springs, gas shock absorbers and a 24mm diameter front stabilizer.
In the rear, the suspension is comprised of a lightweight V-torsion beam that is integrated with a 23mm stabilizer bar that braces the arms for greater stiffness, which is designed to control body roll.
Ride comfort is aided by monotube shock absorbers in the rear.
Tires
The performance of the Veloster Turbo is aided by the Kumho Solus KH25 215/40R18 85V tires that each one rides on.
Another great feature found on every Veloster is electric power steering that instantly adjusts assistance to suit driving conditions, whilst also improving fuel economy.
The Veloster outdoes the Mini and Mini Clubman in turning diameter, coming in at 34.1 compared to the 35.1 and 36.1 feet of the other two.
Hyundai’s goal is to deliver world-class weight efficiency on all models. What that means is a great combination of performance and fuel economy.
The Veloster weighs in at 2,800 pounds, making it 77 pounds lighter than the Honda Civic Si Coupe, and 234 less than the Volkswagen GTI.
The focus on weight efficiency allows the Veloster Turbo to deliver on three important fronts: agility, performance, and fuel efficiency.
Veloster Dimensions
The 2013 Veloster Turbo and the standard version share the same 104.3-inch wheelbase, but the Turbo is 1.2 inches longer and 0.6 inches wider.
