New 2016 Hyundai Tucson prices start at $22,700 (excluding $895 shipping cost)!
The fully-redesigned 2016 Tucson crossover vehicle went on sale in the USA a couple of months ago, so let’s have a quick look at the pricing of Hyundai’s entry-level crossover vehicle.
The Tucson CUV is available in four different trim levels, each with a compelling value proposition, offering a Tucson for different buyer preferences.
The four Tucson trim levels include:
- SE: Well-equipped entry-level model
- Eco: Fun and affordable model that offers a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine
- Sport: Offers sportier styling and enhanced ride and handling
- Limited: Range-topping model fitted with numerous premium features and advanced safety technology

2016 Tucson SE
It all starts with the base, front-wheel-drive Tucson SE, which starts at $22,700.
The base model features air conditioning, multi-function steering wheel, six-speaker audio system, rear-view camera, tinted windows, Bluetooth/iPod/USB/Aux connectivity, 17-inch alloy wheels, infotainment system with a five-inch display and many others.
You can also get the SE model equipped with the optional all-wheel-drive – AWD system, but in this case, the price jumps to $24,100.
Power comes from a 2.0L 4-cylinder GDI gasoline engine that generates 164 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
2016 Tucson Eco Cost
Next in the Tucson range is the Eco trim with prices starting at $24,150 (front wheel drive model).
It features all of the afore-mentioned equipment, but also adds cool-looking LED daytime running lights, fog lights, roof rails, illuminated vanity mirrors and power driver’s seat, among others.
The Tucson Eco is powered by the all-new 1.6L four-cylinder turbo engine that churns out 175 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. This highly-efficient engine is mated to Hyundai’s new 7-speed Ecoshift dual clutch transmission.
You can also get the Tucson Eco with AWD. It costs $25,550!
2016 Tucson Sport Price
Stepping up to the Tucson Sport means more premium features, but also higher cost.
The Tucson Sport FWD starts at $26,150 and incorporates heated front seats, a power liftgate, 19-inch alloy wheels, as well as a large number of advanced safety systems such as the blind spot detection, lane change assist and rear cross-traffic alert.
The Sport trim level is also available with the AWD system and is priced at $27,550!
Range-topping Limited Trim
According to Hyundai, Limited trim level is the range-topping trim level in the 2016 Tucson range.
It gets fully loaded and is available with both, the FWD and AWD systems.
The Limited trim offers a plethora of premium features, including the LED headlamps, LED tail-lights, leather seats, power passenger seat, painted interior trim, dual-zone automatic climate control, rear air vents and electrochromatic rear-view mirror.
Furthermore, it also boasts a premium audio system and 8-inch infotainment system with GPS navigation!
Prices of the 2016 Tucson Limited start at $29,900 for the FWD model and $31,300 for the AWD model.
