USA: Hyundai February 2011 sales
Hyundai Motor America announces February 2011 sales of 43.533 units, up 28 percent compared to a year ago!
Latest sales figures released by the South Korean carmaker reveal another strong month for Hyundai Motor America. During the month of February 2011, the Hyundasi managed to increase its sales by 28 percent for a total of 43.533 units.
Sales for the 2011 Sonata sedan increased 109 percent with 15.723 sold last month, a big increase from the 7.506 units sold in February 2010, while sales of the brand-new Elantra 2011 were up 54 percent; nearly 12.289 examples rolled off dealer’s lots in February 2011. Year-to-date-sales of Sonata and Elantra sedans were up 126 and 44 percent, respectively.
Hyundai Genesis sales (including Genesis Coupe) have increased 38 percent to 2.441 vehicles, while the company’s flagship model, the 2011 Equus, recorded 233 sales and has already outsold its main rivals including the BMW 7 series and Audi A8. The all-new Hyundai Equus has been on sale in the States for three months and to date, 683 cars have already been sold.
Hyundai representatives say they expect the positive sales momentum to continue in 2011, thanks to increasing supplies of new Elantra and a number of new models, which are slated to hit the Hyundai showroom floor this year. You can expect to see the all-new Accent and 2012 Veloster 3-door coupe hitting the U.S. soil in the first half of 2011 and the 2012 Hyundai Elantra Coupe and new Azera in the second half of the year.

Hey admin, where is the usual spreadsheet?
Hey, EB, I added Hyundai sales by model spreadsheet to the post.
The Equus outsold the 7 series etc – any details on that?
Wait till the new 2012 Hyundai Accent hits the Dealerships……watch both the Sedan and Hatchback fly off the lot! Depending on when when Kia launches its 2012 Rio, will be interesting in which of these siblings sells the best.
