Next generation Hyundai Tucson spied again
Next-generation Hyundai Tucson (known as Hyundai ix-35 in Europe) has been spiedtesting in Europe.
A couple of weeks ago I showed you an exclusive Hyundai spy shot. The vehicle on the spy image was the very first prototype of the next generation Hyundai Tucson CUV. It was caught by spy photographers in South Korea, while parked aside at the parking place.
This time, friends at Autobild.de published a few more spy shots of the Tucson successor. It was caught in Germany near Hyundais R&D center, while undergoing some road testing.
As we reported before, the 2010 Hyundai Tucson will share its unibody platform with the upcoming Kia Sportage and will house four-cylinder engines only. The V6 powerplant will be axed in favor to smaller engines that offer better fuel economy numbers.
New to the range will be the 2,0L turbo engine with hp ratings close to 200 horsepower, while diesel engines will be available as well. We expect Hyundai to unveil its all-new 2,0L CRDI engine with 175 horsepower when Tucson debuts in late 2009.
Other than that, nothing new people, but as soon as I get something, I’ll let you know. In the mean time, enjoy these spy pics and reading the Hyundai Blog!
