1. Is Hyundai Tucson available with FWD or AWD?
New Hyundai Tucson is a crossover type vehicle, which means it offers best from both worlds.
Consumers can choose a Tucson with AWD or a front-wheel-drive model only.
The powertrain configuration depends on trim level of the consumer’s choice.
2. US-Specs Tucson Launch
The automaker has first introduced the new Tucson in Europe earlier this year. Shortly after, Hyundai has also launched it in the USA.

3. New 1,6L Turbo Engine
Under the hood, the new Tucson offers two engines, the 2,0L inline four-cylinder units, and an all-new 1,6L turbocharged 4-cylinder unit.
The latter is a more modern unit, although the 2,0L was also refined and enhanced for the 2016 model year.
The 1,6L turbo engine churns out 175 horsepower, while the 2,0L generates 164 horsepower.
4. New 7-Speed Dual Clutch Gearbox
For the first time, the Tucson CUV is available with a 7-speed dual clutch transmission.
This unit is only available on the Tucson fitted with 1,6L turbo engine.
The Tucson with 2,0L engine is coupled with standard 6-speed automatic gearbox.
5. Tucson Exterior Dimensions
Along with other details, Hyundai has also reveald exterior and interior dimensions of the new Tucson CUV.
The new Tucson is slightly larger than the previous generation model and offers more cargo space.
