2014 Tucson SE, GLS, Limited Prices Announced
The 2014 Hyundai Tuscon GLS is being released with a base price of $22,035 ($855 destination fee), which means a $1,855 price bump over the previous model.
The standard 5-speed manual transmission has been given the boot and replaced with a 6-speed automatic that will appear on all trim levels.
Anyone interested in the base model will also have the option of an all-wheel drive variant, which is now on sale at Hyundai dealerships across the country.
At the top of the range is the 2014 Tuscon Limited PZEV, starting at $28,555.

A spokesman for Hyundai revealed that the GL model has been taken out of the lineup and has been replaced with the mid-level Tuscon SE.
The biggest talking point about the new 2014 Tuscon are the engine enhancements.
The Multi Port Injection engines have been replaced by the new 2.0L “Nu” and 2.4L “Theta II” GDI 4-cylinder engines.
One of the benefits is a slightly improved gas mileage at 23/29 mpg city/highway, which represents a slight increase in city driving, with the highway number remaining the same. It also comes with a newly retuned suspension.
Refreshed and Improved Tucson Priced Lower Than Honda CR-V
Even with the price increases, the Tuscon still comes in more affordable than the bas 2014 Honda CR-V, which is its major competitor.
The 2014 CR-V LX starts at $23,775, including an $830 destination charge.
The 2014 Ford Escape S FWD is another competitor that has a more expensive base price at $23,595, including an $895 destination charge.
