Tricked-Out Hyundai Genesis AR550 Ready For SEMA Auto Show
The Genesis AR550 is set for the 2014 SEMA auto show, and Hyundai and ARK Performance Inc. have finally released the details.
This is the 6th vehicle that ARK have put together for Hyundai, and the vehicle will be revealed at an official press conference on November 4 at 9 am PT.
The goal is to create a vehicle that can sit side by side with the world’s best, which means creating a car that is equal parts stunning design and performance.
This tricked-out Hyundai Genesis has a wider, stance, oversized wheels, and a lower suspension setup to give it an aggressive appearance.
Lerry Liu, Marketing Director, ARK Performance, Inc., said that the AR550 concept was put together with Hyundai’s “Design to Empower” credo for the Genesis very much in mind. He said that ARK had a couple of things to focus on for this year’s SEMA entry, starting with the power, handling, and sound of the power plant.
The second area of focus was the integration of high performance racing technology into the vehicle.
At the heart of the concept car is the Tau 5-liter V8 engine. A total of 130 hp has been added to that beast with the addition of a Rotrex supercharger and ARK free-flow exhaust to help the engine breath.
The car gets a sportier ride courtesy of a new suspension setup, and has amazing stopping power delivered by a Brembo Big Brake Kit and Nitto Tires.
ARK Line modifications have been made to the exterior, including a carbon fiber splitter and rear diffuser, wider bumpers in front and back, and AR headlights. The interior is like stepping into a business jet, thanks to Katzkin custom diamond-stitched seats and door panels.
