Hyundai Sonata Plug-In Hybrid Car Release Date Revealed
Yang Woong-Chulm vice chairman Hyundai Motor Group, announced today that the new Sonata plug-in hybrid electric vehicle would be arriving on the scheduled time next year.

He also revealed that pricing would be very reasonable since all the major parts were produced domestically.
Speaking about the parts, he said that the pricing would be very competitive, as the batteries, motor, and other major components were all made at home.
He noted that Hyundai were in no rush to get the vehicle to market, as they are confident of the technology.
Yang made the statement in answer to anxiety in the market, with some questioning the EV development program and Hyundai’s standing in the global marketplace.
There had been a rumor circulating that suggested Hyundai might move up the release date of the LF Sonata in an effort to get into the PHEV market that much sooner.
Those who expressed concern mainly did so because they had doubts about the domestic technology in terms of EV development.
This doubters believed that Hyundai would have to go overseas for foreign parts and hybrid electric car technology.
That rumor appears to have been quashed in the statement from the vice president.
Release Date
Expect the all-new Hyundai Sonata plug-in hybrid electric car to be released in Korea during the first half of 2015.
