Pre-sale Orders For 2015 Sonata LF Go Through The Roof
Hyundai have revealed that it took just three days for pre-sale orders of the new Sonata sedan (codenamed LF) to top 10,000 units in Korea.
The first orders were accepted on Wednesday, and by the end of the third day, the number had hit 10,015 units.
The impressive number marks the second best pre-order tally for the Sonata. The best performance was put in by the Sonata YF in 2009, when it was able to rack up 12,787 pre-orders in 3 days.
There are no plans to do a full reveal of the new generation 2015 Sonata just yet, but Hyundai has shared a few preliminary details, as well as the first official drawing of the new car.

The official unveiling will take place later this month in South Korea, followed by the car being shown off at the New York International Auto Show in April.
Those of you with good memories will probably remember the buzz that came with the current, sixth generation model back in 2009. It was the swoopy shape of the car that made the headlines, with many comparing it to the Mercedes-Benz CLS .
The Sonata mid-size sedan quickly became a major hit for Hyundai, with over 200,000 units shipped during its first year in North America. That number rose to 230,605 in 2012, before dipping back a little to around 200,000 units the following year.
Hyundai is hoping to replicate the success of the previous Sonata and perhaps even do a little better with the new model.
In order to do so, they have made improvements across the board in order to become more competitive on the busy midsize market.
