Hyundai Releases 2015 Sonata Pricing For US Market
There has been a lot of anticipation regarding the pricing for the new 2015 Sonata, and Hyundai has finally put everyone out of their misery.
The base Sonata model will start at just $21,150 and will come with a 2.4-liter engine under the hood.
At the top of the new Hyundai Sonata range will be the Sport 2.0T Ultimate, which will come about as fully-loaded as it gets.
Included as standard in the top of the line model will be features such as heated and ventilated seats, heated steering wheel, hands-free Smart Trunk.
Smart Cruise Control with Stop/Start capability, a panoramic sunroof, and much more. These new additions will make the Sonata appealing to a wider audience than ever before.
2015 Sonata Base Model Price Knocked Down $300!
Bob Pradzinski, vice president of national sales, Hyundai Motor America, said that the 2015 Sonata will continue the great tradition of the model, and will come in at a base price that is actually $300 less than the outgoing model.
He said that Hyundai has really listened to what the customer wants, which is why new safety and technology features have been added across the Sonata line-up.
He also made reference to the upper trim levels, where premium comfort and convenience features have been delivered in spades.
The goal was to deliver a midsize sedan that was truly world-class, and that is something he believes that Hyundai has done with the new Sonata.
New Hyundai Sonata Changes
Refinement is what Hyundai are looking to deliver with the 2015 Sonata, which is why they went with the more refined Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language.
The car delivers a smoother, quieter ride thanks to a stiffer body structure that helps lessen the noise and vibration. What you are essentially getting here is the Genesis luxury sedan delivered in a midsize package.
Production of the new vehicle has already begun at the Hyundai manufacturing plant in Montgomery, Alabama, with the first of the new card expected to roll into dealerships by the end of the month.
Superb Safety Features
As alluded to earlier, Hyundai have gone all out in delivering high levels of safety, including seven airbags and a knee airbag on the driver’s side that will prevent the person behind the wheel sliding down in the seat during a collision.
There are also a number of active safety features to be found in the 2015 Hyundai Sonata, many of which are usually traditionally found on luxury models.
They include such features as:
- Forward Collision Warning
- Blind Spot Detection
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Lane Departure Warning System
Engine Line-Up
Under the hood of the Sonata SE, Sport, and Limited models you will find a 2.4-liter Theta II GDI four-cylinder engine that makes 185 horsepower and 178 lb. ft. of torque.
Newly added to this model is an Electronic Intake Continuously Variable Valve Timing (E-CVVT) system that improves performance in low temperatures and reduces emissions.
Hyundai Sonata 2,0T Turbo
The Sonata Sport 2.0T trim level comes with a revised 2.0-liter Theta II turbocharged GDI engine that kicks out 245 horsepower and 260 lb. ft. of torque.
It also features a twin-scroll turbocharger that allows the 2015 Sonata to perform better when operating in the low to mid RPM range.
It really is hard to believe that all of this can come in a package with prices starting at just $21,150.
