All New Santa Fe Best In Class In Euro NCAP Crash Tests
The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe received maximum 5-star safety rating during the crash tests conducted by EuroNCAP last year.
The stylish 5-seat mid-size SUV received a score of 96 per-cent in the “adult occupant” category, with the judges awarding maximum points in the side barrier test.
Additionally, the Santa Fe received a score of 89% and 86%, respectively, in the “child occupant” and “safety assist” categories.
Now that the Euro NCAP crash tests have been concluded for 2012, the all new Hyundai Santa Fe has been named as the best-in-class and one of the safest vehicles ever tested in the 4×4.
A remarkable crash test safety rating puts the new Santa Fe ahead of many premium models (Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz M-Class) that were also tested in 2012.
“Having the all-new Santa Fe recommended by Euro NCAP as the safest car in its segment demonstrates the carmaker’s commitment to the safety of its customers and other road users,” commented Allan Rushforth, Senior Vice President and COO of Hyundai Motor Europe.
