Hyundai is building on the success of 2012, where they sold 1,500 new vehicles, using Motozuma as the facilitator at the dealership.
In order to help buyers get their hands on a 2012-2014 Hyundai, the South Korean automaker will offer a dollar-for-dollar matching incentive of up to $500 for Motozuma members.
Signing up for an account at Motozuma.com is free and allows users to save up for a vehicle down payment with a little help from family and friends.
Users can buils up their own savings or grow their account by sharing their Motozuma page in hopes of getting donations from others. The people that use Motozuma tend to be young, first-time car buyers.
The website is also jammed full of tools and tips that will help steer them through the buying process.
Users can log on and select they Hyundai they want, whilst also creating a personalized profile and savings goal. They can then take advantage of the crowdfunding social aspect that Motozuma provides.
Dave Zuchowski, executive vice president, National Sales, Hyundai Motor America, said that Motozuma.com is the perfect tool for younger buyers who require a different sales approach and simplified savings.
He went on to say that the Elantra, Veloster, and Sonata were the big sellers on Motozuma in 2012.
He believes that Hyundai can offer younger buyers access to stylish, fuel efficient, fun vehicles through the Motozuma platform.
Motozuma.com is the first automotive social savings site to appear online. It allows prospective car buyers to use social media in order to grow the savings they need to make a down payment on a vehicle.
The concept of Click. Save. Drive is a simple one. Motozuma users can fund their account by contributing to their savings regularly or by accepting financial gifts from family and friends.
