This is believed to be the very first comparison review pitching the awesome, and hot-looking Hyundai Genesis Coupe against its main rival, the G37 coupe from the Infiniti brand and for sure, not the last comparo between the two.

The folks at Popular Mechanics took both coupes to the twisty roads of Southern California and after their 300 plus miles journey they have come to a surprising conclusion: the Genesis Coupe wins over Infiniti G37!
Tested models were fully optioned Genesis Coupe 3.8L Track, packing a 3.8L Lambda V6 with 306 horsepower – a very respectable amount of power, and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Infiniti G37 has been powered by a 3.7-liter V6 generating even more impressive 330 horsepower.
Both of the cars have been loaded with optional performance handling packages including features such as sport-tuned suspension, a set of attractive-looking 19-inch alloy-wheels with Brembo brakes, limited-slip differential, rear spoiler and aluminum pedals.
