New Hyundai Sonata sedan fully undisguised
These are the very first images of a completely undisguised new Hyundai Sonata sedan.
New Hyundai Sonata is scheduled to be officially unveiled in the South Korean market on September 10th and will replace the existing Sonata model, which has been on sale since 2004.
Codenamed YF, the all-new Hyundai Sonata will incorporate sleek exterior styling with a wide three-bar radiator grille up-front and sharp-edged tail-lamps at rear. Under the hood, new Hyundai Sonata will feature modern diesel and gasoline engines.
Available as an entry level choice in new Hyundai Sonata will be a 166-hp 2.0L Theta II gasoline engine, mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. More powerful 2.4L engine with 200 horsepower will be offered in Korean market as well, while US-market Sonatas are also expected to get a 3.5L V6 with estimated power output of 275 horsepower.
Diesel power will be available only in European and South Korean markets and will come from the all-new 2.0L and 2.2L R-diesel engines with 184 and 200 horsepower respectively.
New Hyundai Sonata will have a wide range of standard equipment, including a push-button start, Vehicle Dynamic Control, panormaic sunroof, paddle-shifters, Bluetooth connectivity and others.
