New Hyundai Elantra Yuedong facelift
Hyundai Motor Company unveiles new Elantra Yuedong facelift at the 2011 Shanghai Auto Show.
Hyundai used the 2011 Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition to unveil the Elantra Yuedong facelift. The Elantra Yuedong has been Hyundai’s best-selling nameplate in China for the past couple of years with sales-to-date surpassing 620.000 units sales mark.
Hyundai says the new Elantra Yuedong facelift has been updated in every aspect. It boasts dynamic exterior design, greater fuel economy than its major rivals and a large number of standard convenience features.
For the 2012 model year, Hyundai packed the Elantra Yuedong with some styling changes and a few interior trim improvements. Latest styling updates include restyled head lamps, new chrome signature grille, restyled front bumper and new fog lamps. No major changes have been made inside, however, the carmaker claims it has applied a higher grade materials to give the new car a more sophisticated look and feel.
The new compact sedan also benefits from a plethora of new convenience features including a supervision cluster, smart key, button start, motor driven power steering -MDPS, navigation system, USB port and eco-driving guide system.
According to the automaker, the new Elantra Yuedong facelift will go on sale in China during the first half of this year.
