Exclusive Spy Shot Of 2016 Hyundai Equus Interior
A new spy shot of the next generation 2016 Hyundai Equus luxury sedan has emerged, and it shows off the interior to a certain degree.
Some of the control panel elements are covered, but there is still plenty to see.
Previous spy shots have been of the exterior, usually in heavy camouflage.
What can be made out from those previous images is a more angular shape to the new 2016 Equus model, which is in line with Hyundai’slatest Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design language.
It’s going to be interesting to see what else chief designer Peter Schreyer comes up with in his first outing with Hyundai, especially when you look at how he transformed the Kia brand over the past few years.
That brings us nicely to the interior elements that are on display in the spy shot.
The first thing that really jumps out is the extensive use of wood trim throughout the cabin.
There are also some aluminum touches, as well as a number of other premium materials throughout.
The exclusive Equus logo holds a place of prominence on the steering wheel, while it would appear that there are some larger touchscreens in there, although they have been covered enough to prevent a look at any real details.
This is an interior that takes the Equus into the realm of the big luxury players, such as the BMW 7 series, Audi A8 and M-B S class.
What Else Do We know About 2016 Hyundai Equus
As far as engines go, it is believed that a range of V6 and V8 engines will be offered, reaching a maximum power output of 450 horsepower.
All-wheel drive is likely to be offered, and the rumor is that Hyundai will have a 10-speed automatic gearbox ready in time for the new release.
There is also talk that a hybrid version of the Equus will be made available sometime in the near future.
The release date of the next generation Equus is set for the early part of 2016, with Korea the first to offer the vehicle for sale. (Photo: bobaedream)
