Hyundai Teases N 2025 Sports Car Concept
You won’t be surprised to learn that Bugatti will have a Gran Turismo concept at the Frankfurt Auto Show next month, but Hyundai having a similar vehicle on display is sure to be a surprise to many.
The Korean carmaker have just released the very-first official teaser shots that show their N 2025 sports car concept which is based on the Gran Turismo video game series.
It will be officially unveiled in Frankfurt next month, and will serve as the launch of Hyundai’s N performance division!
Hyundai announced the N division a couple of years ago, with the focus of that department very much on the vehicles produced for the World Rally Championship.
High performance road cars seem to be the next logical step for the N division.
The first production model bearing the N badge will be the Hyundai i30, which is the European market model, but shares its powertrain with the US-market Elantra GT.
Prototypes of the new i30 N hot hatchback have already been spotted out and about.
The N2025 Vision Gran Turismo will be used to highlight what the division is planning for future performance characteristics.
The performance division are said to be specifically setting their sights on race car design and sustainable technology.
More details about the concept vehicle will be revealed as the unveiling date approaches.
The concept will be made available to drive in the Gran Turismo 6 video game for Sony PlayStation 3.
The N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo will not be the only vehicle that Hyundai shows off in Frankfurt.
They will also have the WRC i20 to be used in the 2016 season, as well as the RM15 mid-engine Veloster concept.
The Frankfurt Motor Show kicks off on September 15.
