Hyundai Pick Up Truck To Be Released?
Many of you might well remember the Kia pickup concept, and may be surprised that the compnay still does not have a pickup truck in their lineup.
That may be about to change as the Korean automaker is reconsidering that stance, according to sales boss, Lee In-cheol.
Lee In-cheol has been heard saying that engineers and product planners in his home country are already in the process of discussing what truck size would be best.

Hyundai Pick Up Release Date?
- UPDATE: Hyundai Santa Cruz release date
There is a huge interest in a Hyundai pickup truck in the US, but the company has no definite plans to release one yet.
There is also no timeline available on when such a decision might be made. The company is also unsire which market would get a truck first.
It is thought that they might start with a smaller truck to be sold in emerging markets.
The lack of a pickup truck from Hyundai in the US market is hurting them a little, since it is the best selling segment in the country.
One of the issues may come down to the fact that the free trade agreement signed between the two countries in 2012 does away with any import taxes on all vehicles except for pickup trucks.
That means a 25% tariff would be applied to trucks and vans until 2021, which may be enough to make Hyundai hold off. [Automotive News]
