Hyundai N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo Concept Officially Unveiled In Frankfurt
Hyundai has been teasing us with the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept for a while now, but we are finally getting to see it in Frankfurt.
This vehicle is the first in the Hyundai N performance sub-brand, and it is a hydrogen fuel cell powered race car that delivers a combined 871 horsepower.
The breakdown of that number is 670 bhp from the dual fuel stacks, and a further 201 horsepower delivered via energy recuperation while the car is braking.
The power is sent to 4 in-wheel motors which Hyundai claims deliver “uncompromised traction.”
At 972 kg (2,142 lbs) the car is incredibly light, which should allow it to fly like a speeding bullet.
The relatively light fuel stacks and rigid body construction helped keep the weight down.
The power to weight ratio of the N 2025 Vision Gran Turismo concept is said to be similar to that of some of the best supercars on the market.
It also features an air blower turbine that will give it a truly “distinct racecar roar.”
Albert Biermann, Head of Hyundai’s High Performance Vehicle Division, said that the goal of releasing this stunning concept vehicle was to challenge consumer expectations of the Hyundai brand.
It won’t be long before drivers get to experience the thrill of driving these types of performance models, as they are set to become part of the Hyundai line-up. Biermann believes that the introduction of these types of cars is just the tip of the iceberg for the future of Hyundai.
