Hyundai I-Oniq Concept Teased Ahead Of Geneva Auto Show
Hyundai plans to unveil a brand-new 4-seater concept car called i-oniq at the 2012 Geneva Auto Show!
Less than a week before Hyundai takes the wraps of its new concept vehicle, we are bringing you a new teaser image of the hot-looking i-oniq concept car.
Scheduled to make its official public debut at the up-coming Geneva Auto Show next week, the i-oniq concept vehicle showcases Hyundai’s future styling cues and the company’s near future powertrain technology.
The all-new Hyundai i-oniq concept vehicle is an electric sports hatchback with a range-extending petrol engine. Under the hood, the stylish concept car features the automaker’s brand-new 1.0L turbocharged 3-cylinder petrol engine mated to electric motor, which generates 109 horsepower, and lithium-ion batteries.
According to Hyundai, the i-oniq has a driving range of 120 km (approximately 75 miles) on electricity alone, while the distance gets boosted to around 700km (435 miles) with the assistance of the 3-cylinder petrol engine. The CO2 emission from i-ioniq are claimed to be at 45 grams per kilometer.
The all-new Hyundai i-oniq concept car will hit the showroom floor next week and will be displayed alongside new Hyundai i30 Tourer, which will also make its worldwide premiere in Geneva.
