Hyundai Genesis Coupe heading towards Europe!
Hyundai plans to bring the Genesis Coupe to Europe with the number of units limited to a modest 1000 units!
With its 310 hp Genesis Coupe, Hyundai will not be breaking any sales records in European market, but will be building up on its image. European Genesis Coupe production will be limited to modest 1000 units per year.
“We choose a fixed number with a fixed price. In Germany the car costs 25,000 euros, which is significantly less than the 38,000 euro cost Nissan 350Z,” told Rafael Agullo, general manager of product planning at Hyundai Motor Europe.
While the US market gets both, a V6 and four-cylinder power, Hyundai revealed it only plans to sell the car with a less potent, turbo engine in Europe. Still, the 2.0L turbo packs enough power to move the vehicle from 0-100km/h in a pretty decent numbers.
Pricing has not been confirmed just yet, but we have learned that the Genesis Coupe will be priced around 25.000 Euros in Germany, which seems like a very attractive pricing, especially when compared to its main European rivals from Nissan (Z370), BMW (3-series coupe) and Audi (TT) each starting at above 30.000 Euros.
UPDATE: A couple of month after we posted this news, we still can not confirm Genesis Coupe coming to Europe. There’s a huge interest in the car, according to some European Hyundai dealers, but so far, Hyundai has not released any information about the official European sales dates.
