Chicago Hyundai Dealers And Groupon Offer Oil Changes, Tire Inspection
Hyundai dealerships in Chicago join Groupon to offer cheap oil change coupons, tire inspection and rotation services!
In a first ever promotion of its kind by an automaker, Hyundai recently teamed up with Groupon to give customers a special offer for a $29 oil change, tire inspection and rotation.
The heavily discounted offer was made available through 10 Hyundai dealers in Chicago region.
What makes this a first of its kind offer is the participation of Groupon, which is an internet-oriented special offers site that features discounted gift certificates for every type of product.
Its site is chock full of offers for different products and companies, and it is the leading discount site of the world too.
According to the Brian O’Malley from Hyundai Motor America’s Central Region, the Hyundai Motor Corporation has always been pro-active in reaching its customers in different ways, and teaming with Groupon is another way to do the same.
The company has recognized that Groupon is a powerful way to reach internet-savvy customers, and this pilot program is a way to see how successfully Hyundai can give discounted offers to its customers, as well as attract more of them.
He went on to say that, “based on initial response, we can clearly call the pilot program a success in driving traffic. If the long-term results are as encouraging as the initial data and dealers are supportive, we’ll certainly look at other ways to use Groupon in the future.”
As mentioned in the quote above, this was a test program, and the results are quite encouraging. All of the 10 service centers have seen about 130 new leads as customers, which is an encouraging number for any promotion.
The company plans to track the customers who have participated in the plan, to analyze their future transactions with Hyundai, and see the long-term benefits of the promotional program.
The company will do this by following the redeemed coupons and tracking the new appointments made by the customers under the program.
