Motor Trend has published an exclusive video report that reveals behind the scene happening at the making of Hyundais Epic Lap commercial ads, that Hyundai Motor America will be airing during the upcoming Super Bowl XLIII. Reportedly, Hyundai will be paying as much as $6 million to display two 30-second spots during the each half of Super Bowl match!

The man behind the wheel of a stunning yellow Hyundai Genesis Coupe was a Pikes Peak world record holder and Formula-D champion, Rhys Millen, who took the Genesis Coupe for a spin at the 2.54-mile, 12-turn circuit in Road Atlanta.

In the clip, championship winning driver Rhys Millen, famous for his drifting prowess and Pike’s Peak world record, uses the Genesis Coupe to perform some precision driving around a track. A second spot will be aired tomorrow featuring re-edited precision driving footage matched to a new soundtrack to further highlight Hyundai’s theme for the commercials of ‘The Epic Lap’.

“We’re taking this car in a controlled environment to the max, hitting speeds of a 125 mph, braking deep, firing in, popping over the rumble strips, it’s awesome, a great feeling,” told Millen during the shoot.
