Hyundai AG Luxury Sedan To Be Officially Launched At The 2014 Busan Auto Show
The number of female drivers in South Korea is very much on the increase, which is why Hyundai is choosing this particular time to introduce a brand-new luxury sedan marketed to women.
Industry sources claim that the project is going under the AG name, with the finished article expected to make its debut at the Busan Motor Show at the end of May.
It is believed the new vehicle will fill the space that exists between the Grandeur and Genesis luxury sedans.
The platform is the same as the Grandeur, but it is expected to have a greater engine capacity.

Korean-Market Release Date
A Hyundai official, speaking anonymously, claims that the car is set for domestic market release in October, but may be moved up if the market reaction is good.
The AG luxury will be styled like a coupe and will come with touches that women will love.
The target market is said to be wives of company executives.
Another source close to the situation said that while Korean executives are usually given a Korean car brand, their wives traditionally opt for European premium brands for their cars.
Hyundai is looking to change that trend by delivering a luxury sedan that will appeal to high-end female drivers.
This is a bold move for Hyundai, as they, and sister company Kia, are fighting hard to gain back domestic sales that have been taken away by German and out foreign brands.
It has been a slow, steady market share decline for the Koreans in recent years.
Both companies enjoyed a market share around 80% for quite some time, but that has dropped to 74.2% and 71.1% in 2012 and 2013, respectively.
Kia K8 Sporty Sedan To Follow?
That has resulted in a 10% market share increase for import brands. Kia is also believed to be doing their part to reverse the trend by introducing a new sedan that will fit snugly between the K7 and K9.
The K8 sporty sedan will be on the same platform as the Genesis, but will have a sportier style.
