2013 Hyundai ix45
Hyundai releases first official images of the all-new ix45 crossover utility vehicle!
Ahead of its official public debut at the New York Auto Show, Hyundai Motor Company released the very-first exterior teaser images of the all-new ix45 (2013 Model Year) CUV.
Known also as Hyundai Santa Fe in some markets, the all-new 2013 ix45 CUV features a completely redesigned exterior lay-out. The vehicle incorporated Hyundai’s latest styling philosophy called “Storm Edge”, which means the ix45 CUV now sports a much bolder and straight-edged exterior design with more sophisticated and refined lines.
Up-front, the all-new 2013 Hyundai ix45 features the six-sided signature grille, which is a key styling cue of the new Hyundai family look, and two-tone voluminous bottom car body. The hotly-anticipated mid-size crossover vehicle also sports wide front bumper and large fog lights outlined with L-shaped LEDs.
The redone Hyundai ix45 also sports a strong side character line, which kicks up sharply in the rear door, and makes the new Hyundai crossover vehicle to look a sportier and more dynamic.
Hyundai ix45 engines
Hyundai has yet to release official technical details about the new ix45, but we expect the current 2,2L CRDI diesel will be carried over. The highly-advanced diesel engine will receive a slight upgrade for the 2013 model year and is expected to provide more power to the wheels and satisfy the next-generation EURO6 emission standards.
Another engine expected to be available under the hood of new ix45 crossover is a turbocharged 2.0L gasoline engine, while other possible options include smaller diesel and gasoline engines, as well as hybrid-electric powertrain with 2,4L gasoline engine mated to electric motor.
Expect the very-first official details on the 2013 Hyundai ix45 to be released during the car’s official New York Auto Show premiere next month. Update: official 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe images…
