2013 Hyundai Elantra GT pricing to start at $18,395
The 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT goes on sale in the USA with a starting price of $18,395!
First unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show last year, the all-new 2013 Elantra GT replaces the Elantra Touring, which was basically a rebadged Hyundai i30 wagon.
Aimed at vehicles like Ford Focus, Volkswagen Golf and Mazda3, the 2013 Elantra sports a five-door hatchback body-style and offers a more sporty-oriented suspension set-up for more precise handling than the 4-door Elantra sedan.
Powered by Hyundai’s 1,8L NU four-cylinder engine, the 2013 Elantra GT achieves 28 mpg in the city and 39 on the highway.
The official pricing details for the Elantra GT 2013 Model Year have yet to be released, but according to Hyundai’s tweet (published earlier today), the entry-level Elantra GT pricing will start at $18,395 (excluding shipping costs).
That price buys you a set of 17-inch alloy-wheels, Hyundai Blue Link infotainment system, seven airbags, heated seats, heated side mirrors, air conditioning, cooled glove box, fog lamps and many others.
When compared to the 2013 Hyundai Elantra sedan, the Elantra GT costs slightly more. The 4-door Elantra GT starts at 16,695, which means the hatchback style and extra door come at a $1,700 premium.
Just for your information, the 4-door Hyundai Elantra and five-door Elantra GT will soon be joined by the 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe to expand the stylish Elantra range to 3 bodystyles for 2013.
The official pricing information for both, the 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT and Elantra Coupe will be released within a few days, so stay tuned! [Source: Hyundai via Twitter]
