2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo release date
Hyundai is all-set to release its all-new 2011 Sonata Turbo, with 274-horsepower 2.0L turbo four-cylinder engine.
The South Korean carmaker has been enjoying record sales in the US-market lately. Sales numbers through first six months are more than 10 percent higher in comparison to last year and the near-term outlook seems bright. Hyundai sales have been on the rise since February this year, when the carmaker launched its all-new 2011 Sonata sedan.
The 2011 Sonata sedan is currently available only with Hyundai’s new 2.4L GDI four-cylinder engine, however, Sonata’s engine line-up will soon be expanded by two new powerplants. Those include a state-of-the-art 2.0L turbo engine, which packs 274 horsepower, and hybrid-electric powerplant.
The 2.0L turbo-charged engine in new Sonata features GDI technology and generates segment-leading 274 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. According to Hyundai, the highly-advanced four-cylinder turbo engine deliver 22 mpg in the city and 34 miles per gallon on highways.
