The-award winning 2011 Hyundai i45 sedan gets new 2,0L four-cylinder engine in Australia!
Hyundai i45 sedan is enjoying brisk sales in Australia. Its monthly sales have been on increase ever since Hyundai introduced the car to the Australian consumers late last year. In April, the popular mid-size sedan finished third among all mid-size sedans on sale in Australia with 405 units being sold in last 30 days.
Following the impressive sales success of the i45 sedan, Hyundai Motor Australia recently introduced a brand-new 2,0L four-cylinder engine to the i45 range. The 2.0L Theta II four-cylinder engine became the new entry point for the i45 range and is now available in “Active” trim.
The all-new entry-level powerplant packs 162 horsepower and generates maximum torque of 198Nm at 4600 rpm. It can be mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission says Hyundai. The South Korean carmaker also states the i45 now leads on economy. When fitted with automatic gearbox, the i45 consumes only 7,6L/100km which equals to 30,9 MPG US.
The 2011 Hyundai i45 Active 2.0L is already on sale in Australia with a starting price of $29.990. [Source: Hyundai]
