2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 Spy Shots
Hyundai has just recently officially unveiled their first ever E-GMP based electric crossover, yet the automaker isn’t standing still and continues its electric vehicle on-slaught.
Coming next to Hyundai EV range in US is the Ioniq 6 midsize sedan, which will, at some point in the future, replace the Sonata 4-door sedan. This statement may sound slightly provocative indeed, but that’s what we have heard from the South Korean automotive media, recently.
Anyway, lately we have been eagerly awaiting for the first pictures of the Ioniq 6 EV to hit the web and that day has finally come.
Today, the Korean auto blog called Auto Post released the very first 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 spy shots.

The images reveal a heavily camouflaged all-electric sedan with a sporty, yet elegant exterior design (at least that’s what it seems judging form the pics).
The styling of this Ioniq 6 prototype reminds us of the Prophecy concept, which was first showcased several years ago and has signaled an arrival of the new Hyundai EV sedan.
Fast forward a couple of years and here it is, the first prototype of the highly anticipated all-electric Hyundai sedan.
The vehicle incorporates the same E-GMP platform that also underpins the Ioniq 5 crossover, so you can expect the Ioniq 6 to have very similar onroad behaviour as its higher (to the ground) siting sibling model.
Also similar to the Ioniq 5 will be the battery pack placed underneath the body, yet the range may even be slightly improved. The 300 mile range on a single charge could be increased by several percent, as the sedan will boast a more aerodynamic exterior than the crossover model.
That’s the reason we may see a driving range of slightly above of 300 miles in the Ioniq 6.
