New images of the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe “Style” released
Official Korean Hyundai webpage features new images of the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe “Style”
It was on Monday when we got our hands on the very first and exclusive image of the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe “Style”. Two days later and we get some more, thanks to Hyundai Motor Company that published a few additional Santa Fe shots at their official webpage.
According to Hyundai, the revamped 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe is scheduled to go on sale in South Korea on July 1st, while its US sales is expected to commence in December this year. Once Santa Fe goes on sale in all the continents, Hyundai hopes it can finally pass the 2.000.000 units sales, a milestone achieved only by best of the best SUVs so far.
The 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe “Style” hosts a vast number of improvements. Exterior design has seen some “minor” tweaks, such as new three-bar grille and more aggressive front bumper. Other exterior updates include revised tail-lamps, redesigned side mirrors with turn signals and a set of new alloy wheels.
Santa Fes interior has also undergo some mid-cycle updates and now features a redesigned leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio controls, slightly redesigned center stack and updated instrument clusters.
Interior is built from higher grade materials and buyers will be able to choose from new interior color choices. The facelifted Santa Fe has also seen some equipment upgrades. There is a smart key, push start-stop button and back-up camera with LCD display mounted in rear-view mirror and height adjustable suspension to mention just a few.
Major changes on the 2010 Santa Fe are packed underneath its attractive sheetmetal and very well hidden to our eyes. Technical changes include a pair of new diesel engines and an all-new automatic transmission with 6 speeds! A combination of both will enable Santa Fe to achieve considerably better fuel consumption ratings.
The R-diesel engine, developed in conjunction with Kia Motors, is known to be one of the best in its class. It is available in two versions, as a 2.0L that generates 184 horsepower and a 2.2L that packs additional 20 hp.
When running on low-rolling-resistance tires, the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe, equipped with 2.0L diesel engine, is capable of driving up to 1.050 kilometers on a single tank of diesel fuel, which makes it one of the most fuel efficient SUVs in the segment. The more potent, 2.2L diesel engine powered Santa Fe achieves impressive 14.1 km/l.
UPDATE: Hyundai unveiled the 2010 Hyundai Santa Fe at North American International Auto Show.

Maybe Xenon headlamps? =)

Anyway I think it’s not that bad, I like it.

Nix the body color grill and I’ll buy. Grill looks better in the above pic because the angle of the shot is low. Standing up, would be more white.
What is the link to these pages? I want to copy/translate some text.
Can anyone make out the blue logo on the button in the cubby next to the shifter?
Sadly, I fear less than 50% of what we see will make it to the US. Like the mirror signals.

well theres something i ve never seen before…a rear view camera the shows up in the rear view mirror…the car look pretty cool…the grill is growing on me…

yagz, I believe that patch under the headlight is a headlight washer. Press a button and it pops out and shoots water. It is available in the present Santa Fe and most models in Korea. Too bad we dont get it here in North America.

BTW…those angular exhausts seem to be showing up on most of the line up…guess they’ve dumped the round ones…

Hyundai is now very definitely in the running for the Brand with the Tackiest Grille award with these new faces that they are rolling out. Up close it looks even worse. First Accent, now Santa Fe. The Genesis grille is also nearly in the ugly-sphere but forgivable by the greatness of the overall car.
Lisa D: That blue logo almost looks like some kind of Electronic Hill Descent Control. Could those of us who actually take these off the beaten path be so lucky?
I agree - we in the U.S. will probably get less than 50% of the goodies. We get only the down market versions it seems since the Santa Fe is not supposed to tread on the Veracruz. Not that there are too many of those on the dealer lots to buy.

Well it’s not a bad grill but the current one looks a hell of a lot better

Just small tweaks and a slight tweaks to the exterior. Should continue to sell well.
More importantly, the engine upgrades I believe are more significant and consumers likely to appreciate the fuel efficiency improvements..
I would say the side view mirrors will make it into the US on the top trim line but just venturing a guess..

Relatively minor cosmetic modifications to the exterior and interior. Overall, should continue to sell well.
More importantly, the engine upgrades I believe are more significant and consumers likely to appreciate the fuel efficiency improvements..
I would not be surprised to see the lighted side view mirrors make it into the US on the top trim line but just venturing a guess..

June 18th, 2009 at 1:15 pm
Not as bad as I thought. But the facelifted Accent still…

Now, you all seem to like the new SF more! I told we should wait for better pics!

The Sante Fe didnt need much improving IMO. I own a 2008 limitted now and my opinion is that it only needs a refined front end, usb, better quality seats for gls/se and maybe some better rim options. It looks like it will have all of those things. But yeh this grill may be a step in the wrong direction.
..and whatever feature the eyelit patch is for i hope it doesnt make it to the U.S. It ruins the sleekness of the bumper imo

Looks like the Santa Fe is going to have direct injection on the I4 it’s getting.
July 8th, 2009 at 2:47 pm
you can allways have a sports grill fitted very nice s/s mesh
August 15th, 2009 at 9:44 pm
the patch under the head lights are those sprinkler it opens up and sprays wiper fluid on the head lights to make it clean.. they have that on most cars like the mercedes gl

I was wondering if the new Santa Fe will have a Bluetooth option.

This car obviously looks like garbage. No one is going to buy this car. If they keep releasing cars that look like this they will be bankrupt.

Sweet!! I was hoping that the 2010 Hyundai was similar to the 2009 model so I wasn’t going to be disappointed that I didn’t wait till the 2010 came out to buy the 2009.
I’m glad I bought the 2009, it isn’t much different and I am not a big fan of the new grill.
Regardless, it is Still a sharp looking car and will sell very well in north america.

I hope the car maker will be considerate of us, over 6′2″ people, as the seat bottom (front seat) is not long enough to support long thighs. The current model is nice, with that one exception, I would have gotten one!! Are you listening Hyundai?!

I like Hyundai!
January 8th, 2010 at 2:35 pm
