Hyundai Nuvis video; the wind of change is coming
Hyundai Nuvis, the all-new concept vehicle from Hyundai to make its debut at New York Auto Show.
Here we have a great video previewing the all-new Hyundai Nuvis in all its glory. The video is not fascinating only because it reveals some secrets of the concept car, but also because of a group of young creators that designed it.
Apparently, Hyundai has built itself a great designer team consisting of young, passionate and talented guys and girls. They are creating the future of Hyundai cars by implementing their unique design ideas to real production and concept cars.
The Nuvis concept has made its official public debut today at New York auto show and it might be a hint at what the next generation Tucson and Santa Fe crossovers will look like.
Under the skin, the Nuvis concept uses Hyundais Blue Drive powertrain that was first shown last November at the LA Auto Show. The hybrid system couples a gasoline powered engine and continuously variable transmission together with electric motor and lithium polymer batteries placed below the rear seats.
The production version of the Blue Drive hybrid system will debut in the 2011 Hyundai Sonata, due to go on sale in late 2010… Enjoy the video!

Yes, This is nice. I like the lighted emblems remenicient of older Buicks and Lincolns. I think the touch screen is innovative too. The Delorean/Mercedes M-1 gull-wing doors seem to me to be a big issue with colder climates and childern. Heres a thought, roll this baby and “you aint getting outta this one.” I wouldn’t want to open the door to let someone in the back in the wintertime, brrrr. I also would hope the hydraulics never go in the doors either. They look heavy. They should make this with 4 doors instead I love the seats and dash though. Let’s just see what the senior Hyundai designers will finally do with this one.
Great job in innovation though. I will say, this type of design turns heads, gets awards and puts you on the design map. Go Hyundai.
