The future duo: 2010 Hyundai Sonata and Tucson have been caught while parked somewhere in S. Korea.

Next generation Hyundai Sonata sedan, codenamed YF and due to be launched in 2009, has been spied in South Korea again. The four-door Sonata prototype was caught by a photographer when sitting at an unknown location somewhere in S. Korea.

The 2010 Sonata sedan has been parked aside to the upcoming Hyundai LM crossover, which is going to replace the current Tucson SUV as early as in 2010.

This is not the first time that both prototypes have been photographed. We have seen many pre-production Sonata vehicles running some testing and to our surprise, just yesterday, we have received the first renderings of the next generation Sonata.

What we have here today are the most revealing Sonata spy shots by now and they confirm our predictions about next generation Sonata having an attractive exterior design!

Up front, Sonata features attractively shaped head-lights and a three bar grille, while its overall shape looks very sleek and sporty. Similar to Genesis Coupe, the upcoming Sonata will also have a strong character line on the front and rear doors and an elegantly designed rear fascia with a pair of tailpipes integrated in the rear bumper.

When Sonata goes on sale late next year in Korea, it will be powered by various diesel (2,0L and 2,2L) and gasoline engines (2,4L and 3,3L v6), while later, we are expecting to see a hybrid version available as well. The 2010 Sonata, codenamed YF, will be unveiled on next September, with sales commencing soon after that.
