Heavily disguised 2010 Hyundai luxury sedan gets spied again
Heavily disguised prototype of Hyundai’s all-new luxury sedan gets caught on Korean soil.
Less than 14 days have passed since I showed you the latest set of Hyundai VI spy shots. Today, I received a few more new ones to the e-mail inbox and I would like to thank Jon for sending me these great pics that preview the 2010 Hyundai VI from a closer view.
Once again, a heavily disguised Hyundai luxury sedan VI has been caught on camera. Pics were taken somewhere in Namyang (Korea) where Hyundai usually runs on-road testing for its pre-production vehicles. In Namyang Hyundai has one of the research and development centers, which is responsible for developing new vehicles, advanced technologies and other car components.
Once on sale, the VI will replace the Equus sedan, Hyundai’s finest and most prestigious vehicle which has been on sale for 10 years already. Although the Equus has been outfitted with all the latest tech and gadgets, it can not mess with the big boys anymore. So the company is planning to replace it with the brand new model, which will feature more attractive exterior design and all up to date safety technology.
Except of the official Hyundai VI press release, released by the carmaker a while ago, there are no new information at the moment. But its official unveiling is closer than ever (February 2009) so we shall soon receive more details on it. Stay tuned!

aston martin has been doing the headlamps LED thing since 2005 with its V8 Vantage model, so was the first to come up with the idea.

But it only got LEDs on taillights, while the first car company o use LEDs in headlights was Audi, with it’s new A4 sedan.

Correction! The Audi R8 was their first production car with the LEDs in the headlights. This is the car where the new A4 ideas came from. This was released in 2007.

Wrong, V8 Vantage has LED lights in its headlights. Audi has copied the idea for their R8 super-car. A google search can verify it.

If you guys use the correct terms, everyone wont be confused!!! Audi R8 was the FIRST “production” vehicle with LED “HEADLAMPS”. The LED’s in the Astons headlamp clusters were just the park lamps. Other Audi’s now feature LED “DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS” in the front/headlampcluster. No other Audi features FULL LED “HEADLAMPS” (by headlamps I mean beams used for nighttime driving). The only other two production vehicles besides the R8, that I know of, to use FULL LED HEADLAMPS are the Lexus LS600hL and the Cadillac Escalade Platinum.

But Audi R8 uses only LED daytime running lights. Its night lights are Xenon technology.
