A-segment i10 has become the most popular small car in Germany
Hyundai i10 hatchback is one of the most popular new small cars in Germany.
Each month, Germany-based Federal Motor Vehicle Office compiles the list of best-selling vehicles in the country.
According to their latest report, issued just a few days ago, the A-segment Hyundai i10 hatchback became the most popular small car in Germany. It has happened for the first time that a Korean vehicle secured the top one ranking.
The report also shows sales results for the month of November and it reveals that 3.107 units of the i10 hatchback were sold in Germany last month, beating October’s top seller, the Smart Fortwo whose sales have slid more than 5 percent from the previous month.
With so powerful domestic auto industry that Germans have, Korean automakers struggled to take larger car-market share ever since they entered the market. But lately, consumer tastes and habits have been changing rapidly and we are seeing more people consider buying Hyundai vehicles.
With rising popularity of the i10 and new i20 on the sight, Hyundai Germany should not have any problems increasing its sales amid financial crisis in Europe and worldwide.
Hyundai i10 is expected to remain one of the most popular models in Germany if the financial crisis worsens. If this happens, people will start looking for more affordable cars and cars that achieve better fuel consumption ratings. Hyundai i10 hatchback has both, low price and consumes only 4.5L of gas per 100 kilometers.
