Hyundai UK has released some new information about the all-new i20 hatchback. They have announced the i20 goes on sale on January 15th with starting price of £8.195 for the base model.
Standard equippment includes six airbags, active head restraints, air-conditioning, electric front windows, glovebox cooling function, remote central locking, drivers seat height adjuster and auxiliary connection - Aux input. Every i20 also comes backed up by Hyundais five year unlimited mileage warranty.
The mid-range i20 equippment package, dubbed the Comfort, ads £800 to the base price price. For £8,995, customers will get all the equippment from Classic package plus 15″ alloy wheels, 6 audio speakers, auxiliary connections - i-Pod / USB and Aux input, body coloured door handles and mirrors, electric heated and folding door mirrors, front and rear electric windows, steering wheel mounted audio controls and trip computer.
The flagship Style trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, centre console - metal grain effect, climate control, fog lights in front, leather steering wheel and gear knob, leather seat trim with cloth inserts and luggage net. The style trim starts at £10,845.
In April next year, Hyundai will also add a three door i20 variant to the range. The three door i20 will cost £500 less than five-door model.
Both will be available with a range of fuel efficient engines. Customers will be able to take a 77bhp 1.2-L engine, which returns 54.3 mpg or 1,4-L, 99bhp (50,4mpg) engine, both petrol.
There is also a choice of one diesel engine, with two different horsepower outputs. The brand-new 1,4L CRDI diesel engine has an output of 74bhp or 89bhp. Fuel economy figures for the low-hp-output engine is rated at 64.2 mpg, while the high-output engine achieves 62.8 mpg.
