Sportier, three-door variant of the new Hyundai compact car has been spotted while undergoing final testing on European roads.

As we already reported, Hyundai i20 will be available in both, three and five door variant, though the sportier three door variant will join the range roughly 6 months after its official debut.

The official world premiere for the all-new Hyundai i20 is scheduled for the upcoming 2009 Paris Motor Show which opens its doors in October.

Hyundai i20 will be manufactured at Hyundai’s brand new manufacturing plant in India which has an estimated yearly production of 300.000 cars. When the i20 goes on sale, it will be available in three different powertrain configurations: 1.2L and 1.4L gasoline and 1.5L diesel engines with power levels ranging between 80 horsepower and 110 horsepower.

The all-new i20 hatchback will replace the ageing Getz model, which was on market since late 2000. It was the very first Hyundai vehicle developed with European consumers in mind.
