Video: Hyundai i30 N Hot Hatchback Spied Testing
Video of the 2017 Hyundai i30 N hot hatchback hits the web!
Things gave been pretty quiet as far as news goes on the Hyundai i30 N hot hatchback, but recent snapshots of the vehicle being put through its paces at the Nurburgring test track suggest that it is closer than ever to production.
The car was pretty heavily wrapped in the now familiar N-branded camouflage, but elements such as the front splitter and tailgate mounted spoiler show that it bears some resemblance to the pre-facelift model.

The prototype model also features a high-performance braking system complete with red calipers, as well as lightweight alloy wheels.
Things could be a little different for the production model, as it has been suggested that it may come with a widebody kit and a dual exhaust system.
Those additions are just rumors at this point, but they would certainly help create a visual difference between the 2017 i30 N and the standard model.
It had previously been mentioned that a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo might be the engine of choice for this vehicle, but it now looks more likely that it will come with an upgraded version of the 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine that Hyundai uses in other models.
No specifications are available as of yet, but you can expect an engine of that type to deliver north of 200 horsepower when it reaches the production.
2017 Hyundai i30 N launch date
Hyundai is rumored to launch a new generation i30 hatchback late this year or early next year, while the i30 N hot hatchback will follow a couple of months later.
