Listen To The Sound Of Hyundai i30N Hot Hatchback Here
Hyundai has developed a reputation for building quality vehicles, but outside of the Genesis Coupe and Veloster Turbo, they don’t really deliver much that would get enthusiasts fired up.
That’s all about to change with the arrival of the N performance brand.
The N group will be creating high-output production models, as well as developing race cars. The video below shows just how exciting all of this is going to be.
The vehicle in the video is an i30N hot hatchback, which is akin to the Hyundai Elantra GT.
It being put through its paces at a racetrack, and the sounds it emits are a sign that Hyundai are serious about this hot hatch. There are some snap, crackle, and pop sounds that might lead you to believe you are listening to one of the world’s best sports cars.
Hyundai have yet to reveal which of the N cars will be landing in North America, so we don’t know if the one in the video will make it here or not. The good news is that the US market is definitely on the radar for the N brand.
What we do know is that a juiced up Elantra Sport will be here soon.
The Avante Sport was recently shown off in Korea, and Hyundai revealed that it would be released as the Elantra Sport in the US, with a few differences.
It will come with the 201-hp engine found in the Veloster Turbo, and if that powerplant can deliver half the sound of the i30 N in the video, then it will be enough to hold us over until a real N model arrives.
