HOT: 2018 Hyundai i30 Fastback Spied Wearing Heavy Camouflage
Hyundai are in the process of growing the i30 family, and one of the new models, the i30 fastback, has been spotted in an underground parking lot by the good folks at motograph.com.
When Hyundai unveiled the new generation i30 hatchback at the Paris Moto Show, they previewed 3 different vehicles that are set to become production models.
One of them was the i30 fastback, which could also replace the currently available Veloster coupe.

The i30 fastback version pictured here is under heavy camo, but we can still get some idea of what the design is all about.
The front of the fastback is quite similar to the standard Hyundai i30 model.
This new model features the same headlight placements as the regular i30.
The grille is home to a large Hyundai logo in the center, while the two holes in the camo up front would appear to suggest that there are sensors under there.
The design of the daytime running lights is quite clear, as are the fog lights, which sit on the outer edges of the front end.
The rear of the vehicle clearly shows the big glass needed to make this thing a fastback, while the panoramic sunroof is also visible.
The taillight set-up also appears to be similar to the regular i30, and unlike the Elantra GT, this model only comes with a single exhaust pipe.
It’s hard to get an idea of what the interior looks like from these pictures, but from what we can see of the seats, they too appear to be in line with the regular i30.
Under the hood, we expect the 2018 Hyundai i30 fastback to come with the new 1.4-liter turbo engine and 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT transmissions used on the European-spec model.
Other options may well include the 1.0-liter turbo with 6-speed manual, and a 1.6-liter diesel engine, also mated to a 6-speed manual transmission.
Stay tuned for more news about this cool looking, near-future Hyundai vehicle. (Source: motorgraph.com)
