Only a couple of days prior to the official Hyundai i20’s release, we have obtained a couple of official pictures previewing the new generation i20 hatchback.
As evident from the photos, the new i20 5-door has been completely redesigned from ground up and now boasts a more aggressive front fascia, bolder details and one very distinctive rear-end.
Upfront, the redesigned i20 incorporates a more pronounced air intakes in the bumper and a wider signature grille, which looks similar to that applied to the front fascia of the new-generation Sonata midsize sedan.
The rear is, obviously, dominated by a set of fully redesigned LED taillights that host a “Z” lighting signature.
The pictures also reveal that the 2020 Hyundai i20 will offer a two-tone paint option on certain trim levels, making it a much more distinctive model in its crowded B-segment.
2020 Hyundai i20 production locations
As the official release date of the Hyundai i20 approaches fast, let’s have a look where the model will be manufactured.
As it was with the previous model, the new-generation i20 will also be built at two locations.
The European-specs i20 hatchback will be manufactured at the carmaker’s Turkey plant and then exported to all European countries.
The other production base for the upcoming Hyundai i20 is located in India, where Hyundai operates two manufacturing plants with a production capacity of well over 600,000 units per year.
The India-built i20 hatchbacks will mostly be sold in India, while some will also be exported to the neighbouring countries.
