UK: Hyundai i20 Coupe On-Sale Date, Pricing Revealed
UK customers will be able to get behind the wheel of the all-new Hyundai i20 Coupe on March 26th, with a starting price of £12,725.
That price is for the entry-level SE trim, which includes standard features like cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity, 16-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, and rear parking sensors.
If that isn’t enough, you can get more by moving up to the i20 Coupe Sport trim, which comes with automatic lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, auto dimming rearview mirror, privacy glass, and climate control with auto defog.
The Sport model comes with a starting price of £13,725.
The top of the range Sport Nav trim comes with a 7-inch touchscreen with navigation, a Rear View Camera, and DAB Radio, with the starting price set at £14,400.
There are some choices to make with the engines for the i20 Coupe.
The petrol engine is a 1.2-liter that is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission, delivering 83-horsepower, while the diesel engine is a 1.4-liter unit that delivers 89-horsepower, and which is mated to a 6-speed manual.
Hyundai has said that they will come out with a 1.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine later this year, which they claim will break the 100 hp barrier.
The i20 Coupe will get an exclusive exterior color called Tangerine Orange that will match up nicely with a black interior with orange inserts.
The design, both inside and out, has been put together to appeal to a younger audience who like a sportier look.
The new i20 Coupe will be manufactured at the Izmit manufacturing plant in Turkey, which is where the i20 5-door hatchback is also made.
