2015 Hyundai i20 5-Door Hatchback Spy Shots
These are the very-first spy shots of the new Hyundai i20 sub-compact car.
The i20 is a bigger brother of the i10 hatchback, which will make its official debut at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show.
The release date of the new i20 is not known at this point, however, we can confirm that Hyundai will offer both, the 5-door hatchback as seen here and a little sportier 3-door hatch.
A heavily-camouflaged model has been recently spied testing in Germany where the automaker has been testing final powertrain and suspension set-ups.
We believe Hyundai-Kia’s design center in Frankfurt has been responsible to provide the car with an eye-catching exterior layout.
As evident from these exclusive images, the next-generation i20 will incorporate Hyundai’s latest design DNA, called “Fluidic Sculpture”.
The new model appears to be slightly larger in size and features slightly sharper lines as the current model.
We have no other details about the upcoming Hyundai i20 at this point, however, we believe that the model will be built upon a new platform and will sport at least one turbo engine, possibly a 1,2L T-GDI unit.
Expect the fully-redesigned i20 hatchback to be unveiled at one of the major auto shows in Europe, possibly in Geneva next year.
