Hyundai To Release 12 New Vehicles By The End Of 2016
Dave Zuchowski, CEO of Hyundai Motor America, has announced that the company will release 12 new vehicles over the next three years.
He did not go into detail about the specifics of the launches, but did say that the crossover segment would be well represented.
He went on to say that the growth plans for the next five years were very much on the aggressive side, just as it was in the period between 2010 and 2012.
He said that the products released in the next few years would significantly help increase growth for Hyundai, with much of that coming via an increased presence in the CUV category.
Some of that new presence will come in the form of the Tucson and Santa Fe models, which come with both 5-passenger and 7-passenger configurations.
Next-Generation Hyundai Tucson Coming Next Year
Zuchowski spoke at an event last week and said that the supplies of the Tucson will be increased to meet demand, with as many as 90,000 units of the next generation model, due out next year, being made available.
He explained that trucks and CUV’s represented a very small percentage of the overall business for Hyundai, which I something he says will change in the coming years.
He spoke of the popularity of the truck segment and how Hyundai has to be represented there.
A subcompact crossover may be among the new nameplates that Hyundai delivers, with Zuchowski admitting that Hyundai is indeed looking very closely at the possibility of a B segment CUV.
