It’s finally here and it looks brilliant… First official images of the Korean-market 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe hit the web!
Ahead of its official Korean-market debut set for Saturday this week, Hyundai Motor Company today released two teaser images of its long-awaited 2013 Genesis Coupe. Published at the carmaker’s official Korean-language blog, the images provide us a little hint at what we can expect to see when the car is fully revealed.
The all-new Hyundai Genesis Coupe 2013 (Model Year) will be officially released on November 12, 2011 at the Chonnam National Yeongam F1 Speed Festival, while the US-specs 2013 Genesis Coupe is scheduled to make its official public premiere at the 2012 North American Auto Show in January.
Official teaser images from Hyundai confirm latest rumours and spy shots that suggested the facelifted Genesis Coupe would adopt the carmaker’s latest evolution of the Fluidic Sculpture design language. The images show clearly that the 2013 Genesis Coupe adopted Hyundai’s hexagonal grille, which looks close to the one in the new Veloster coupe or 2012 Hyundai i30.
The vehicle also sports a redesigned front bumper with LED fog lights positioned low in the front fascia and re-designed hood with air vents. At rear, the Genesis Coupe features a slightly redesigned tail-lamps and slightly revised rear-bumper.

Would look nice if it wasn’t for the cheaper Veloster already having stolen that look.
… and the Elantra and the Accent and the Tucson and all future car will have this distinctive front end!
BMW cheap 1 serie got the same front end as the 3 serie…
the hood is a little higher thand old one that what it need to put the 5.0 GDi V8 in the hole!
While it does look like the Veloster, the center is blacked out, which makes it much better looking. I also like it more than the current generation, as it is more aggressive looking. All implementations of the corporate fascia looks good except for the Veloster implementation IMHO.
The look is very expressive and comes across as menacingly aggressive.
@attaboy – most auto makers are developing brand specific design languages and trademark stylistic elements, such as similar fascia treatmeants accross their lineup.
Kia, Hyundai, Chevrolet, Volvo, BMW, Audi and Merc – to name a few – all have a unified design language and similar grills throughout their entire product line.
Can’t say I love it. It does fit wit the design and everything but it doesn’t HAVE to. Look at the Sonata and the Genesis sedan. Those cars don’t have the hexagonal grille. And what does that look do to the drag coefficient of the car. I would assume it would negatively effect it in that regard but I could be wrong.
Maybe once I see one in person I’ll like it better but as for right now I preferred the older look more.
