Hyundai B-Segment SUV Spy Shots Hit The Web
The South Korean automobile fans have spotted a sub-compact-sized SUV undergoing pre-production testings around the city of Seoul.
Apparently, this is the all-new Hyundai SUV / crossover vehicle that has been discussed here before.
A while ago we published an article about Hyundai planning to launch four new models in India, including the next-generation i10, i20, new small MPV and sub-compact SUV.
You can find more details about the 2014 Hyundai’s new model plans here.
The all-new Hyundai B-segment suv will first go on sale in India, while later, Hyundai might start exporting it to Europe and Middle East.
The South Korean carmaker sure does not want to miss the fast growing market for compact SUVs in Europe and elsewhere around the world.
Set to compete against the likes of VW Taigun (coming in 2016), Ford Ecosport and Opel Mokka, the new Hyundai small SUV will be based on either the Hyundai i20 or i30!
It will be positioned below the ix35 CUV (known also as Tucson in the USA) and will share the engine line-up with compact Hyundai hatchbacks.
The powertrain details of the new B-segment SUV are scarce at this point, but you can expect the model to offer a choice of several diesel and petrol four-cylinder engines.
Unlike the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur crossovers, the new Hyundai SUV will offer the all-wheel-drive (optional), while the front-wheel-drive will be standard. [Photos: Ubin1024]
